The Producers I Giusti & Zanza Vigneti is a historical reality of Tuscan viticulture, it grew from the renovation of an old estate which, by the hills of Fauglia, produced wine from the beginning of the XIX Century.
This area is part of the Tuscan coast where the mild influence of the marine climate is well felt. The land is characterized by smooth hills, soft sand gravel and lime soil with some clay, workable and with good drainage.
At present 17 hectares are cultivated, the age of the vines range from 10 years to 40 years. Grape production is at most 8,000 kilos per hectare with low plant yield that guarantees the perfect ripeness of grapes. The vines are harvested by hand to make the first selection of grapes directly in the vineyard. The grapes are vinified in the traditional way, exploiting the natural extracting capacity of must, with gentle pigiages and delestages and a long period of fermentation. The wine is bottled after a light filtering with no stabilization so that some sediment is proof of a natural product.
